Why? - Reason 1.

We are witnessing a continuous increase in traffic on the roads, and due to the increase in the number of vehicles on the roads and the increase in the intensity of traffic, the problem of the so-called "popping out" of manhole covers continuously appears every day on many busy roads. This problem represents a significant safety risk for all road users (pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, drivers of cars and other vehicles, road workers/contractors, etc.). The product was initially designed with the aim of mechanical protection of manhole covers against theft and unauthorized opening, but it proved to be a more than efficient mechanism when protecting manholes from popping out on pavements due to passing vehicles.


Why? - Reason 2.

Global communications are becoming more and more important every day, and the infrastructure defined as DTK (distributive telecommunications sewerage), a term that was coined in the late 90’s and is still used today in everyday official terminology as well as in informal communication, is more important than ever. The fact is that without DTK, there would not be the most of the modern communication technologies that we have and use every day. DTK implies a branched network of underground pipes made of suitable material, cable wells and cable galleries, which serves for distribution and protection of telecommunication cables. The perception is often that most of today's security threats come from the digital world, which is often true, but this product represents a solution for efficient and simple protection of this critical infrastructure in the physical world.

How it works?

Manhole cover protection mechanism represents a simple solution to the problem of closing manhole covers and prevents their unauthorized and unnecessary opening, which can cause significant damage. Opening manhole covers that are protected by this product is not possible without a special key. The product is adapted to protect all types of manhole covers, and is very quickly and easily adjusted to the desired "height", which ensures the necessary tension force that keeps the manhole closed. This is a completely new product on the market, which represents a simple, safe and very effective way of protecting DTK, water shafts and sewer shafts.

Manhole cover protection mechanism consists of a specially designed stainless steel screw with an eccentric head, a stainless steel spring, a semicircular steel "butterfly" plate, a stainless steel hexagonal self-locking nut, a stainless steel hexagonal screw and a protective rubber. This protective mechanism is placed on manhole covers. The specially designed screw is made of high-quality stainless steel, and the thickness of the screw corresponds to the M18 nut. Thanks to the specially designed screw head, it can only be unscrewed with a special eccentric key. After installing the spring and the semicircular "butterfly" plate, the associated self-locking nut is placed on the screw in question, which prevents the butterfly from unscrewing. The stainless-steel screw located on the butterfly serves as a stop - when it reaches the edge of the cover frame, it allows the butterfly to be placed in a position that ensures optimal tightening. After the installation of the mechanism is completed, a protective rubber is inserted into the head of the screw, which prevents the penetration of unwanted substances usually present on the pavements (such as dirt, various liquids, salt, etc.) into the mechanism. The steel butterfly is made of 15 mm thick material, which ensures exceptional strength and durability.

Universal application - a particularly important characteristic of this product. Namely, this mechanism can be adapted for all types of manhole covers that can be found today. And depending on the type, shape and condition of the cover in question, the number of mechanisms that needs to be built-in varies as well.
